National Concealed Firearms Instructors Association

I will be going to Salt Lake City for a renewal class in June-2008-
I talked to Laura Gaylor- the administrator in charge-
She told me the utah BCI wants to take a look at all Instructors-
so-- must come to Salt Lake City for a visual Inspection-
after that --Inspection-- can renew on the internet-
So-- looks like we all must take a trip to Salt Lake City-

I initially obtained my Utah certification by going to SLC and attending their course. We were told then that the re-cert. would be online but have seen nothing on that option. I guess I just need to call and talk to Laura myself.

By the way, the course was great as were the people at BCI. Wouldn't mind visiting again but wouldn't want to go to the expense of going from NC.

I am heading out to SLC to recert on March 21st 2009 any more word on follow up certs being done online??

Well, it's been over a year since I last posted here concerning this. I called Laura last week. They are booked up for instructor slots untin October '09. I was ble to get a seat for September for renewal. I sure wish they would have followed through with the online recertification. I now have to make a trip to SLC in September. I have mixed feelings on that. I have always enjoyed it there but don't really want to endure the expense. Oh well.
