Thanks for the Web Site/and Power Point

Postby cdkillian on Wed Jan 02, 2008 11:38 am

Dan,
Thanks for the web site and the power point. I have been using them now for a couple of months. All my students have praised me for such an "unboring class". Using the power point has made the class flow smoothly and helps me stay on track. Students can follow along and the video interaction breaks up the class and snaps the students awake..

The web site you created for me has help my customers understand that we are a legitimate buisness, lets them view my qualifications as well.

Putting both of these tools to work for my company has made it possible for me to take my teaching class' to a full time job, instead of a part time hobby.

If anyone has any questions about the NCFIA and their work doing websites, check out my web site @ www.personalhomedefense.com
Dan has done a great job for us.

Thanks Dan
You Da Man...

I went to your site. I am jealous. I had to write my own code for my website and I guess it shows. I need to get a better crisper looking site like yours.

Very nice!!

Dan, Thanks for the new Banner bar.

Dan,

Thanks you for the new Bar/ Banner. It looks alot better than what I had. The idea about having a separate links page was great. The next step will be to add a page for schedules of classes and a registration/payment page.

Thanks for all the help.

Still Here!!!

Postby cdkillian on Tue Aug 26, 2008 11:23 pm

Thought I should drop in and let everyone know that I am still here...
I have been real busy since my sight came online, thanks again Dan...
I will be sending you some more pics...and some information on for a links page for my site....
I hope everyone here is enjoying the site.. It looks like some of the traffic is not as great as other forums, I just think that we are all busy people.
I know since Dan has helped me get my company online my phone has been ringing off the hook.. It has actually opened up more doors of opportunity than I ever thought possible in this business!

Hope everyone out there is having a great time educating and empowering the people...

I had an interesting moment in one of my classes the other day…
One of my students came up to me after the class and told me she felt a little disappointed. I asked here what I could have done better that would have left her feeling better about the class...” I like to get feed back good or bad”, she said she enjoyed the class but, she came to the class hoping to come away feeling more empowered…
I asked here to clarify what she meant by this and she stated that she felt by caring a “firearm” …. (Notice Dan I am using NRA approved vocabulary). she would feel more empowered, and that after she left the class she now had to think about getting more training and really, if the situation came down to it if she could use the gun in self defense to actually take someone’s life….I really try to emphasize the importance of mental preparedness in my classes.. She then explained to me that here husband was an officer and she had always been around firearms, but in the twenty plus years of her marriage she had never really discussed this type of topic with her law enforcement husband… they went out shooting all the time, and she is very proficient with the firearms, but she never viewed it as this type of tool…

I thought a lot about this and now try to emphasize in my class that the firearm is just a tool…It is not a magical instrument that will automatically change your life and keep you out of harms way… It is a great equalizer but only proper mental conditioning and preparations can keep you safe and give you the advantage…

Hope I don’t sound like I am preaching, just had a little moment I thought I would share with the rest of you.

Good luck out there be safe and watch yer top notch! :D
